Liverpool have been told they will have to pay the full £130 million release clause to sign Bournemouth winger Rayan, despite his previous relationship with manager Andoni Iraola.
The 20-year-old Brazilian is understood to be attracting interest from several major European clubs, although Liverpool have not yet made an official approach for the player.

ESPN Brazil journalist Bruno Andrade reported that Bournemouth would not offer preferential terms to Liverpool or any other interested club. The clause is due to become active in 2027.
“The message is clear, obvious, and there won’t be a discount of even one cent,” Andrade said.
He added: “Whoever wants to sign Rayan in January, whether from the Premier League or another European club, has to pay the value of the clause.”
Andrade said there would be no reduced fee or alternative payment arrangement, with the choice effectively being to meet the clause or leave Rayan at Bournemouth.
The winger is under contract until 2031, strengthening Bournemouth’s position as Liverpool consider whether to pursue a deal. Rayan joined the club from Vasco da Gama in a transfer that could eventually be worth around €35 million.
Liverpool’s interest is linked in part to their need for a specialist right-sided attacker. Iraola also knows Rayan well from their time together on the south coast and is familiar with his abilities, personality and tactical demands.
That connection may give Liverpool greater confidence in the player, but it will not lower the asking price. A £130 million deal would require the club to break its transfer record again and make Rayan one of the most expensive players in Premier League history.
Liverpool must now decide whether the potential of the 20-year-old is sufficient to justify another major investment, or whether to look elsewhere for better value.
