Micah Richards has praised Arsenal midfielder Myles Lewis-Skelly after the 20-year-old impressed for England during the international break.
Lewis-Skelly has become increasingly important to Arsenal after initially establishing himself at left-back before moving into central midfield. His versatility has continued with England, where he is now also being used in the middle of the pitch.

Speaking on The Rest Is Football, former Manchester City defender Richards said Lewis-Skelly was among his favourite players and highlighted the range of qualities he has already displayed.
“Myles Lewis-Skelly is one of my favourite players,” Richards said.
“Technically he’s very good, he’s strong and fast, he has football intelligence and he’s still so young as well.”
Richards went on to describe the Arsenal youngster as one of the best players he had seen at that age.
“He’s one of the best young players I’ve seen at his age and that’s not an exaggeration. He’s unbelievable, such a delight,” he added.
Lewis-Skelly’s progress has been welcomed by Arsenal, although the demands of international football add to an already busy schedule. Declan Rice and Cole Palmer were among the prominent players to sit out the recent international break, while Arsenal could also have benefited from Bukayo Saka being rested.
If Lewis-Skelly continues to perform at this level, his importance to England is likely to grow alongside his role at Arsenal.
