Milwaukee is set for a cool and unsettled stretch of weather, with showers clearing on Tuesday evening before further rain and thunderstorms develop at intervals from Wednesday night into the weekend.
FOX6 chief meteorologist Tom Wachs said skies would remain mostly cloudy overnight, with temperatures falling from the 60s into the upper 50s. Wednesday is expected to be less humid, although an isolated shower cannot be ruled out.
Temperatures on Wednesday should reach about 21C (70F) inland and 19C (67F) near Lake Michigan. Winds will be light, coming from the east and north-east at between 5 and 15mph.

The greatest immediate risk of unsettled weather comes late on Wednesday night and into Thursday morning, when thunderstorms are possible. Thursday is then forecast to stay mostly cloudy, with temperatures reaching about 21C (70F).
The National Weather Service’s Milwaukee forecast also puts the chance of showers and thunderstorms at 50 per cent on Wednesday night, followed by a smaller chance of showers on Thursday morning. It says temperatures should remain near 21C to 23C (70F to 73F). Cloud and occasional showers are expected to continue on Friday, with a high of about 19C (67F). The chance of thunderstorms increases again on Saturday, when temperatures could climb to around 21C (70F).
Further showers and isolated thunderstorms remain possible on Sunday and Monday. Highs are expected to stay broadly between 20C and 21C (69F and 70F), suggesting a prolonged period of unsettled but relatively mild conditions.
The National Weather Service has described the pattern as one featuring additional shower and storm chances into the weekend, while the forecast for Milwaukee County gives a 70 per cent chance of precipitation on Friday night and a 70 per cent chance of showers or thunderstorms on Saturday.
