Frankie Muniz’s estranged wife, Paige Price, has shared a cryptic message about perspective shortly after the actor described the past six weeks as a “nightmare”.
Price posted an Instagram Story on Friday showing herself making a wax seal, alongside the words: “Life is all about perspective. If you ask the grass, the zebra is the monster and the lion is the protector.”
The video was set to an acoustic version of the Goo Goo Dolls’ song Iris, including lyrics about not wanting the world to see or understand you.
Her post came hours after Muniz, known for starring in Malcolm in the Middle, opened up about his recent struggles on Instagram.
“The last 6 weeks of my life have been a nightmare I’m praying to wake up from,” he wrote. “Everything has felt heavy, unclear, and like it has been falling apart at the same time.”
Muniz said he had been forced to confront parts of himself he wanted to change, describing the experience as an “unexpected gift”. He also said he had reached “rock bottom”, but believed the low point could become the foundation for a better future.
The actor ended his message by encouraging others going through difficult periods, writing that they were “not broken” but “being rebuilt”.
Muniz and Price announced in July that they were ending their marriage after 10 years together. The couple, who share a five-year-old son, Mauz, said they intended to remain friends and co-parents.
Price previously defended Muniz after criticism of his original divorce announcement, insisting that they were still “on the same team”.
