A person was killed after being struck by a train in Marysville, Washington, on Tuesday night, 8 September, police said.
The incident happened shortly before 8pm just north of the Grove Street crossing, according to the Marysville Police Department.
Officers remained at the scene for several hours as they investigated what led to the death. Roads in the area remained open.
