A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on US-192 in Kissimmee, Florida, in the early hours of Friday, 25 September, prompting a search for the driver involved.
The collision happened shortly before 3am near the junction with International Drive in Osceola County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
Troopers said the pedestrian ran across the road and into the path of a vehicle travelling west. The car struck the person before leaving the scene.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the crash site. FHP has not released their identity.
FHP searches for hit-and-run driver
Investigators recovered fragments from the vehicle and believe it may be a 2007 to 2010 Ford Edge. The vehicle is expected to have damage to its bonnet and front-right headlight.
The driver has not been identified and the investigation remains ongoing.
