Brad Pitt was pictured taking selfies with fans during a day out at the US Open in New York, where he attended the women’s final with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon.
The actor, 52, and de Ramon, 33, had seats for the match between Belarusian player Aryna Sabalenka and Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina on Saturday. Pitt appeared in good spirits as spectators approached him before the contest began.
At one point, he took a fan’s phone and photographed himself with three women seated behind the couple. He was also seen chatting to another female spectator while keeping a hand on de Ramon’s knee.
De Ramon, a jewellery executive, leaned towards Pitt during their conversation and placed a hand on his chest. Pitt wore a pale blue polo shirt, jeans and a backwards baseball cap, while de Ramon chose a strapless mini dress featuring a newspaper-style print.
On court, Rybakina defeated two-time defending champion Sabalenka in a three-set match.
Pitt and de Ramon have been dating since 2022 and have attended a number of sporting events together, including tennis tournaments and the World Cup. They made their red-carpet debut at the 2024 Venice Film Festival for the premiere of Pitt’s film Wolfs.
Brad Pitt’s family background
The appearance came during renewed attention on Pitt’s family life following comments by his former wife, Angelina Jolie, about her relationship with their children.
Jolie said her children “know me pretty well” and “know all sides of me” in an interview with L’Officiel USA. Discussing her sons Maddox and Pax working as assistant directors on her films, she said: “Obviously it’s nice for me to be around them, but I am just Mom, wanting to be around her family.”
She also described the children as “definitely individuals”, adding that one of the most important things as a parent was “to basically not get in their way”.
Jolie said she was looking forward to “more connection and community” now that all of her children were adults. She added that she wanted to travel, undertake more field work and eventually get her motorcycle and plane back.
Pitt and Jolie have six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne. In recent years, several of them have taken steps to remove Pitt’s surname, with Vivienne’s legal petition citing “personal” reasons for changing her name from Jolie-Pitt to Jolie.
Pitt and Jolie married in 2014 and separated two years later. Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016 following a dispute on a private plane in the presence of Maddox, then 15.
The FBI investigated allegations that Pitt became physical with Maddox during the incident, but the investigation was closed without charges.
