Police found no obvious signs of trauma or foul play after responding to the death of Raz B and Mona Li’s three-month-old son at their home in Atlanta.
Officers were called to the property shortly after 8am on 8 September following a report of a person down. They were directed to the couple’s son, Astro Monte Thornton, who was unresponsive.
Emergency medical workers pronounced Astro dead at the scene. Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit also attended.
Investigators obtained a search warrant and documented and collected items they believed could have evidential value. Detectives noted, however, that there were no obvious signs of trauma or foul play.
Astro’s body was transferred to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office, where an autopsy was carried out. His official cause and manner of death remain pending investigation.
Raz B and Mona announced their son’s sudden and unexpected death several days after he died. The couple welcomed Astro in May and also have an older son, Versai.
