Presley Gerber has been cremated days after his death at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica, while the official cause of death remains under investigation.
The 27-year-old’s death certificate states that he was cremated at Rose Family Funeral Home. His ashes are to be kept at the Malibu home of his parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber.
The document describes Gerber as an entrepreneur who worked in mental health. Although an autopsy has been completed, the medical examiner is awaiting further test results and has listed the cause of death as deferred and pending investigation.
Gerber was found dead in his bedroom at the luxury facility on Sunday. Sources said he appeared intoxicated when checking in, although the circumstances surrounding his death have not been officially determined.
Sources also alleged that Gerber had a persistent problem with ketamine, which they said had been prescribed to him by a doctor despite concerns from his family.
His family has been described by sources as “unbelievably shattered” and is being supported by longtime friends George and Amal Clooney.
The Clooneys have reportedly been spending time between the homes of Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber as they support the family.
The family’s immediate priority is said to be remaining together and grieving while arrangements and other matters are dealt with.
