A suspect was taken to hospital and remains in law enforcement custody after a deputy-involved shooting in Inverness, Florida, the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies were called to East Seneca Street on Sunday, where a heightened police presence was reported as officers dealt with the incident.
No deputies were injured. Authorities said there was no ongoing threat to the public.
