Taylor Swift made her first appearance at a Kansas City Chiefs game since marrying Travis Kelce, watching the team’s season opener from his luxury suite alongside Hollywood actor Tom Cruise.
The 36-year-old singer was seen at Arrowhead Stadium as the Chiefs faced the Denver Broncos on Monday night, marking her first visit to the tight end’s suite as his wife.
Swift and Cruise were shown in conversation during the first quarter of the nationally televised game. The actor has no known connection to the Chiefs, but played football-related roles in the films Jerry Maguire and All the Right Moves.
Swift’s father, Scott, was seated beside her wearing a red Chiefs jumper, despite supporting the Philadelphia Eagles. Kelce’s mother, Donna, was also among the group in the suite, which included members of the couple’s friends and family.

Swift’s attendance had been uncertain because the 2026 Emmy Awards were also being held on Monday evening. Her concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour – The Final Show, had been nominated for five awards, including best variety special (prerecorded) and best directing for a variety special.
She did not attend the main ceremony after the film failed to win in any of its categories at the Creative Arts Emmys earlier this month. However, she still appeared in a pre-recorded parody of Law & Order during the ceremony, alongside her friend and host Mariska Hargitay.
The sketch played on speculation among Swift’s fans about whether she would attend the awards or the Chiefs game. Hargitay, reprising her role as detective Olivia Benson, led a fictional investigation into the question: “Will Taylor Swift be at the Emmys?”
Swift appeared as a rookie helping to solve the case, holding her Scottish Fold cat Olivia Benson as she joked that the singer might instead be at home with her cats.
The pop star has regularly attended Chiefs games since she began dating Kelce in 2023. Their latest appearance together came after the pair married at a star-studded ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York on July 3.
Kelce recently described the wedding as “insane” and “a night I’ll never forget” while speaking to his brother Jason on their New Heights podcast.
Guests included Selena Gomez, Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Tom Hanks and several of Kelce’s team-mates, while Adam Sandler officiated. Kelce said the venue had provided the couple with a private and intimate setting for the occasion.
