Cooler temperatures and partly sunny skies are expected across the San Francisco Bay Area on Friday, with highs ranging from the mid-60s along the coast to the mid-80s inland.
The National Weather Service said a dry cold front would move through the region during the early hours of Friday, bringing an end to the warmer conditions seen earlier in the week.
Temperatures are forecast to fall back towards seasonal levels across the Bay Area and Central Coast, while winds strengthen through the afternoon. Gusts could exceed 30mph in exposed and wind-prone locations.
San Francisco is expected to reach about 70F, with mostly sunny conditions and west winds increasing during the afternoon. Inland areas, including parts of the East and South Bay, should remain warmer, with highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s.
The weather service also warned of stronger winds offshore, with a small craft advisory in effect for parts of the coastal waters from Friday morning. Cooler conditions are expected to continue into the weekend.
