The Weeknd has debuted a new song titled “Tokyo” featuring Japanese singer Yoko Takahashi, during the opening shows of the Asian leg of his After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour.
The 36-year-old singer performed the track at Belluna Dome in Japan, where he staged back-to-back concerts over the weekend.

Takahashi made a special appearance at Saturday’s opening show, joining The Weeknd to perform her 1995 hit “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis” – the opening theme from the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion.
The new track was accompanied by a visual created by Yoko Taro, the creator of the NieR video game series. It combines imagery from NieR: Automata and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
The two concerts in the Tokyo area marked the beginning of the first Asian leg of the After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour. The 17-date run is also the final leg of the stadium tour.
The tour is due to continue in Jakarta, followed by shows in Singapore, Seoul, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.
No release date has yet been confirmed for “Tokyo”.
