Three juveniles have been charged after a knife was produced during a fight at Dawson County Junior High School in Georgia on Tuesday, September 8.
School resource officers responded to the Dawsonville campus after an altercation involving male pupils, according to the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office.
One boy suffered minor injuries and was treated by the school nurse before being released into the care of a guardian. Authorities have not said whether the injuries were caused by the knife.
One of the juveniles was initially held by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, but has since been released. The sheriff’s office said none of the three suspects remains in custody.
The names of those charged have not been released because of their ages. Officials have also not disclosed what prompted the fight or the specific charges faced by each juvenile.
