TikTok creator Marcel Johnson has died aged 32 after battling stomach cancer, his wife, Taylor, has announced. Johnson, who was a father of five, had documented his illness on social media for the past 15 months.
Taylor said he died on Monday, 2 November, at 4.45pm. In an Instagram post, she wrote: “I lost a whole entire half of me. He fought so hard for so long. He was so tired & exhausted & in so much pain.”
She said Johnson had told her and Dedric that he was ready to die on the morning of his final day, but continued to hold on.
“Yesterday the only words Marcel said all day were to me & Dedric and it was ‘I’m ready to go’ and that was in the morning,” Taylor wrote. “He still fought to hang on all day so we just got a bit more time.”
Taylor also described struggling to accept the loss, writing: “I truly don’t even have words right now. I feel like this can’t be real life. How can this be real f***ing life. I thought I was going to wake up and he was still going to be here beside me.”
She ended her tribute by saying: “I love him with my whole entire being and life will absolutely never ever be the same.”
Johnson was diagnosed with cancer last August and shared updates about his battle on social media before his death.
