Uber has been ordered to pay $40 million in a wrongful death lawsuit after a woman was struck and killed on a freeway after an Uber driver forced her and a friend out of his car.
The victim’s family brought the legal action following her death, seeking accountability over the circumstances that led to her being left on the motorway.
