Manchester United are reportedly interested in Dinamo Zagreb striker Dion Beljo, with Tottenham Hotspur and Everton also monitoring the forward ahead of the January transfer window.
The 24-year-old has attracted attention after a prolific spell in Croatia, scoring 12 goals in his last 14 appearances. That run includes 10 goals in seven league matches for Dinamo Zagreb, while he has also found the net for Croatia.
Premier League clubs track Dion Beljo
Beljo’s form has placed him on the radar of several Premier League clubs, with Brentford also understood to be monitoring his situation. Newcastle United, Leeds United and other European clubs could further increase the competition for his signature.
Standing 6ft 5in, Beljo would offer a significant physical presence in attack as well as an established scoring record. He scored 38 goals in 48 appearances last season, underlining his consistency in front of goal.
Manchester United are considering attacking reinforcements as they look to add competition for Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha. Joshua Zirkzee’s future at Old Trafford is uncertain, which could increase the need for another forward.
Tottenham may also view Beljo as a potential solution to their own need for greater depth at centre-forward, particularly with uncertainty surrounding Richarlison. Everton, meanwhile, are seeking attacking reinforcements after Beto’s departure to Fiorentina.
Beljo’s combination of height, physicality and goalscoring form could make him an appealing option for all three clubs. However, none of the interested sides has yet been reported to have made a formal offer.
His future is therefore likely to remain under close scrutiny as the January window approaches, with Manchester United facing competition if they decide to pursue a deal for the Dinamo Zagreb striker.
