Yassamin Ansari is dating YouTuber and progressive political commentator Jack Cocchiarella, who is 24, as the Democratic congresswoman prepares to campaign for re-election in Arizona.
The pair have reportedly been seeing each other for several months and are said to have met after Cocchiarella interviewed Ansari in spring 2025. They initially became friends before their relationship turned romantic.
Ansari is a freshman Democratic congresswoman representing Arizona’s 3rd District. She is now on the campaign trail ahead of November’s re-election contest.
Cocchiarella has more than one million YouTube subscribers and has interviewed prominent Democrats including Gavin Newsom, Zohran Mamdani and Hakeem Jeffries.
Ansari declined to discuss the relationship, saying: “I’m not commenting on my personal life, nor is it anyone’s business. Right now, ICE is terrorizing communities across the country with zero accountability, and Trump’s reckless war in Iran continues raging on. I’m focused on helping to flip the House so we can pass meaningful legislation — that’s what we should all be focused on.”
Cocchiarella also said he did not wish to comment on his personal life.
