The USS Abraham Lincoln has returned to San Diego after a deployment to the Middle East that began nearly a year ago, docking at its homeport in San Diego Bay on Thursday.
The US Navy aircraft carrier’s arrival marked the end of its deployment and its return to the Southern California port.
CBS News reporters Eleanor Watson and Carter Evans reported from the scene, while retired Navy vice admiral Robert Murrett joined them to provide analysis of the ship’s return.
