Tatyana Ali’s husband is Dr Vaughn Rasberry, a Stanford University academic whom the actress first met on the dating site eHarmony in 2014. The couple married in Beverly Hills in July 2016 and have since welcomed two sons.
Ali, 47, is now preparing to appear on season 35 of Dancing with the Stars, where she has been paired with professional dancer Jan Ravnik.

Ali has previously described meeting Rasberry online as a gradual process. Speaking in 2016, she said: “Vaughn and I met on eHarmony! It was my first time dating online. We wrote letters for months before we decided to Skype. And then, of course, met.”
She later told Steve Harvey that their timing was particularly fortunate, as her eHarmony subscription was about to expire when they connected.
The couple married in front of 100 friends and family members in Beverly Hills less than two years after first meeting.
Their first child, a son named Edward Aszard, was born in September 2016. They had a second son, Alejandro Vaughn, in August 2019.
Who is Vaughn Rasberry?
Rasberry is the Associate Vice Provost for Graduate Education at Stanford University. He is also an associate professor of English and an associate professor of African and African American Studies at the university.
He holds a PhD in English language and literature from the University of Chicago. He also studied English language and literature at Howard University and humanities at the University of Chicago.
Rasberry published his first book, Race and the Totalitarian Century: Geopolitics in the Black Literary Imagination, in 2016.
