A video showing Dak Prescott turning around after a man called his performance “embarrassing” has drawn attention following the Dallas Cowboys’ 24-16 defeat by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The incident took place as Prescott, 33, walked towards the locker room after Thursday Night Football at the Cowboys’ home ground on October 8. He appeared to hear the remark and turned to see who had made it.
Dallas had been favoured to win, while Tampa Bay arrived without a victory all season. The Buccaneers were led by Jalon Daniels, a back-up undrafted quarterback, but secured their first win by beating the Cowboys 24-16.
The footage was captured by Sam Gannon, a sports host and reporter for KDFW Fox 4. It initially led many people to believe that the comment had come from a stadium employee.
Gannon later clarified that he had been told the person who said “embarrassing” to Prescott was a car service driver rather than a stadium employee.
