A 21-year-old woman was killed by a car while walking to a bus stop in Milwaukee on Tuesday morning, according to her loved ones.
The crash happened at about 5.53am on 22 September in the 9200 block of West Hampton Avenue, near the city’s Timmerman Airport. Police said a car travelling west on Hampton Avenue struck the pedestrian.
Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The driver, a 34-year-old man, remained at the scene and is co-operating with investigators, Milwaukee Police Department said.
Part of Hampton Avenue was closed while officers examined the scene. Police said the circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
