All seven Women’s Super League games this weekend will be shown live across Sky Sports, with Chelsea’s meeting with Arsenal providing the headline fixture on Sunday afternoon.
The coverage also includes Manchester United’s home match against West Ham, the contest between promoted sides Birmingham and Crystal Palace, the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton, and Tottenham’s clash with Aston Villa.
Chelsea and Arsenal renew rivalry
Chelsea versus Arsenal will be the weekend’s main event, with kick-off at 4.30pm on Sunday. It will be the 10th meeting between the clubs in all competitions since the beginning of the 2023-24 season, with four victories apiece so far.
Chelsea’s full-backs could have a significant role. Ellie Carpenter has completed seven carries into the final third this season, fewer only than Manchester City’s Lauren Hemp, while Katie McCabe offers a similarly adventurous threat from the opposite side.
McCabe will face Arsenal for the first time since leaving the club in the summer. Chelsea’s aggressive full-back pairing could prove decisive if Arsenal again struggle to impose themselves, having appeared passive at times this season.
United seek first win after Arsenal test
Manchester United host West Ham at 1pm on Sunday, still searching for their first victory after three matches. Eva Olid’s side earned credit for holding Arsenal to a 1-1 draw last weekend, having conceded seven goals across their opening two games.
United looked more secure and dangerous at the Emirates, and Arsenal needed a 96th-minute breakthrough to win. Their threat has largely come through quick transitions, with Andrea Medina bringing pace and aggression since arriving in the summer.
United have attempted only 10 shots in the WSL this season, the fewest recorded by any side across its opening three matches in the competition’s history. Jess Park, Simi Awujo and, potentially, Ella Toone can provide the creativity required to give Elisabeth Terland a more regular supply of chances.
Those attacking combinations are expected to develop with time, but the visit of West Ham offers United another opportunity to turn encouraging passages of play into a first league win.
Promoted clubs meet in Birmingham
Birmingham and Crystal Palace face one another at 2pm on Sunday in a meeting between two teams still adapting to life in the top flight after promotion from WSL2.
Both suffered difficult results last time out, with Palace heavily beaten by Tottenham. Nevertheless, both have registered points this season, unlike Charlton, who remain without one.
The fixture could be a cautious affair, with neither side wanting to give the other an advantage in what may become a prolonged battle for survival. Both have favoured a direct approach, making aerial duels particularly important.
Liverpool look to end Anfield troubles
Liverpool welcome Everton for the Merseyside derby at 2pm, seeking to address a poor record at Anfield. They have lost eight of their nine league matches at the ground, while their wider struggles in this fixture have been a recurring source of frustration.
Gareth Taylor’s side have begun to show signs of progress, combining an attractive style with greater effectiveness. Liverpool have scored seven times already, exceeding their total from their first 10 games of last season.
Only Chelsea and Arsenal have forced more high turnovers, suggesting Liverpool’s pressing game is beginning to function as Taylor intends. Everton arrive in decent form, although both of their wins this season have come through own goals.
Tottenham aim to maintain momentum
Tottenham entertain Aston Villa at 2pm on Sunday, buoyed by a 7-0 victory over Crystal Palace last week. Amanda Nilden’s late goal capped a 14-pass move involving all but one of Tottenham’s outfield players.
Martin Ho’s side will extend their unbeaten league run to seven matches if they avoid defeat. Since Ho took charge in July 2025, only Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal have won more league games than Tottenham’s 13.
