Zendaya showcased one of her shortest hairstyles yet while meeting her Euphoria co-stars Hunter Schafer and Alexa Demie for dinner in New York.
The actress, 30, joined Schafer and Demie at Japanese restaurant Rule of Thirds in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, on Friday.
Zendaya was seen smiling behind her security team in a bright red top and cream-coloured trousers. Schafer, 27, who played Jules Vaughn in the HBO series, wore a flowing black dress, sunglasses and carried a patterned shoulder bag.
Demie, 35, who portrayed Maddy Perez, opted for a more casual look in a white vest top.
The dinner outing came as Zendaya continued to display her new style. In a video shared by Prada Beauty over the weekend, she showed off her wavy locks while encouraging followers to visit the Prada Paradoxe Sweet Chemistry pop-up in New York.
Zendaya is a global ambassador for the beauty brand.
Zendaya’s mother speaks out over online criticism
The appearance followed criticism directed at Zendaya’s mother, Claire Stoermer, over her appearance online.
Stoermer, 62, shared a screenshot of a post containing comments about her and said she understood why some people chose to leave Instagram for the sake of their mental health.
“If I was to go and read all the comments on this post about myself, I could feel really bad,” she wrote. “There are some terrible, horrible comments, I did read some of them.”
The former teacher added: “And thank goodness I don’t take that s*** personally. Once upon a time I may have.
“And if I was a young person, I know I definitely would have. It’s sad and frustrating.”
Stoermer later referred to the “four agreements”, highlighting the principle: “One of them is don’t take anything personally, it has nothing to do with you.”
Zendaya has previously spoken about her close relationship with her mother and father, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, who managed her career during her early Disney Channel years. Her parents divorced when she was a child, although she has said they are “still homies”.
Stoermer now runs Kizzmet Jewelry, a company whose pieces are often worn by her daughter.
Zendaya has also credited her mother as a role model, recalling how she taught in underfunded schools in Oakland, California, and introduced pupils to the arts, Shakespeare and nature.
