A 41-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges after police allegedly found 46 guns, nearly 86 grams of methamphetamine and more than $12,000 in cash during a search of two storage lockers in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Ryan Philip Olejar, of Burnsville, is accused of possessing the weapons and drugs at a storage facility on Penn Avenue South. Bloomington police carried out the search on 25 September, according to a criminal complaint filed in Hennepin County Court.
What police found in the Bloomington storage lockers
The lockers, numbered 2029 and 3008, were linked to Olejar. The complaint says Unit 2029 had been rented in his name since June 2024, while Unit 3008 had been leased since April 2025.
A storage facility employee reportedly told investigators that Olejar visited the first unit two or three times a week. The employee also said Olejar had previously mentioned having a gun there and had been seen arriving after hours and remaining until as late as 3am.
Police allege that methamphetamine was found in several containers across the two lockers. The quantities listed in the complaint total 85.97 grams, including more than 50 grams found in a white pill bottle and a further 21.46 grams in a gold pill bottle.
Investigators also allegedly discovered $12,146 inside an Alpine safe in Unit 2029, alongside mail and prescription medication bearing Olejar’s name. Boxes containing ammunition and gun parts were also found, the complaint states.
Of the 46 firearms recovered, most were said to be loaded. At least one shotgun had reportedly been stolen in McLeod County and was handed over to a detective from that county.
The charges include allegations that Olejar sold at least 17 grams of methamphetamine within a 90-day period and possessed at least 50 grams. Both counts allege that he had a firearm in his possession.
The complaint says Olejar was already prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition because of two other pending felony drug cases in Hennepin County.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Court documents filed on 9 October said his whereabouts were unknown, and indicated that further charges could follow as the investigation continued.
The allegations have not been tested in court.
