Arsenal are considering an ambitious move for Real Madrid right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the England international potentially in line for a return to the Premier League.
Alexander-Arnold has endured an inconsistent spell at the Bernabéu, and his form reportedly contributed to him missing out on a World Cup place over the summer. However, his ability remains highly regarded and Arsenal are said to be assessing whether he could strengthen Mikel Arteta’s side.

The 27-year-old is renowned for his passing range and remains a threat from set pieces, as well as from distance during open play. Those qualities could give Arsenal an additional creative outlet down the right flank.
Any potential move would also carry particular significance because of Alexander-Arnold’s long association with Liverpool. He came through the club’s academy and developed into one of their most important first-team players before leaving for Real Madrid after running down his contract.
A move to Arsenal would therefore be likely to attract considerable attention, given the club’s status as one of Liverpool’s major Premier League rivals. Whether Real Madrid are genuinely willing to do business, and whether Alexander-Arnold would consider the switch, remains unclear.
