Aubrey Plaza has made her first public appearance since giving birth, attending the New York premiere of Christopher Abbott’s Netflix series East of Eden.
The 42-year-old actress joined the event at The Plaza Hotel on Wednesday evening to support her partner, 40-year-old Abbott. The pair did not pose together on the red carpet.
Plaza wore a black coat over a sheer black top and black skirt for the occasion.
The appearance comes after Plaza and Abbott welcomed their first child in late July. Before the birth, Plaza had revealed that they were expecting a baby girl.
The couple have known each other for several years, having first worked together on the independent film Black Bear in 2019. They later appeared together in the off-Broadway production Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, which ran from October 2023 until January 2024.
Plaza and Abbott made their first official red-carpet appearance as a couple at the 2026 Tony Awards. Abbott had been nominated for best featured actor in a play for his performance as Biff Loman in the Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman.
Although Abbott did not win the individual award, Death of a Salesman received the Tony for best revival of a play.
In an interview in April, Plaza spoke about her excitement at becoming a mother.
