Kaley Cuoco has given birth to her second child with her fiancé, actor Tommy Pelphrey, welcoming a daughter named Philomena Carmine Bobby Pelphrey.
The 40-year-old actress, best known for playing Penny in The Big Bang Theory, announced the birth in a series of photographs shared on Instagram. Philomena was born on October 12.
“What a blessing. We are so grateful for the crazy, wild up-and-down journey that brought us to our little Philo! Family officially complete,” Cuoco wrote.
The couple are already parents to Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, who was born in March 2023. Cuoco joked that it was “time to bring Matilda’s baby home”.
Big Bang Theory stars congratulate Kaley Cuoco
Several of Cuoco’s former The Big Bang Theory co-stars joined the congratulations in the comments beneath her announcement.
Simon Helberg, who played Howard Wolowitz in the sitcom, wrote: “PHILOMENA!!! You’re stunning. Welcome!”
Melissa Rauch, who portrayed Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz, said: “The biggest congratulations and so much love to all of you!!” Kunal Nayyar, who played Raj Koothrappali, added: “LOVE YOU SIS.”
Pelphrey also shared an emotional tribute to his daughter and praised Cuoco for her support throughout the pregnancy and birth.
“Another miracle. Welcome to our family youngest queen!” he wrote. “Kaley, you showed up in every way as a partner and a mom, even when you weren’t feeling your best — you’re a CHAMPION. The girls and I would be lost without you.”
Cuoco replied in her own post: “Life exploded the minute we met, and the gifts keep coming. I love you forever, girl daddy!”
The couple met in April 2022 at the premiere of the fourth season of Ozark, in which Pelphrey played Ben Davis. They made their relationship public later that year and became engaged in August 2024.
Cuoco rose to prominence after starring as Bridget Hennessey in 8 Simple Rules. She joined The Big Bang Theory in 2007, appearing in all 279 episodes, and later featured in an episode of its spin-off, Young Sheldon.
