Blueface is being sued over an alleged unauthorised stream of Chrisean Rock’s pay-per-view boxing debut, with promoter Skyy Myles and streaming provider BLK Prime Boxing claiming the broadcast caused significant financial losses.
A federal complaint alleges that the rapper streamed the bout on his verified Kick channel while Rock faced Ku’S The match was made available through BLK Prime Boxing’s pay-per-view service for $29.99. The lawsuit claims Blueface and music manager Wack 100 broadcast more than an hour of the event to his audience. The plaintiffs allege that tens of thousands of viewers watched the unauthorised stream. They further claim Blueface acknowledged he was broadcasting the fight because of a financial dispute involving Rock. According to the complaint, Blueface also told viewers they did not need to purchase the official pay-per-view and could watch the contest for free on his stream. Rock’s lawyer, Charles Lew, accused the rapper of knowingly infringing the rights of those behind the broadcast. “In my entire career, I have never seen such a blatant and brazen disregard for copyright. They didn’t just take our clients’ broadcast, they announced it live and told people not to pay. We look forward to the successful enforcement of our clients’ well-established rights,” he said. The promoter and streaming provider are seeking an unspecified sum in damages for alleged lost sales, profits and other earnings, as well as reimbursement of their legal fees. Representatives for Blueface have been approached for a response but have not commented.
