Martin Kove’s week-one performance on Dancing With the Stars ranks as the fifth-lowest-scoring dance in the show’s history, receiving 15 points out of 40 — equivalent to 37.5 per cent.
Kove was partnered with professional dancer Britt Stewart during season 30. The score came as the actor took to the ballroom in the opening week of the competition.
The rankings account for changes to the judging panel over the years. Performances were converted into percentages because some seasons featured three judges while others had four.
The latest series, season 35, has now begun, with judges promising to award lower scores at the start of the competition.
A scoring mishap on the opening night of the previous season also highlighted rules that judges are required to follow.
