Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have applied for a marriage licence in Arkansas, taking a further step towards marrying nearly four years after their relationship became public.
The Washington County Clerk said the couple submitted their application on 18 September. The filing was made in Arkansas, where Holmes was born and raised in West Memphis.
Robach and Holmes began their relationship while working together at Good Morning America in New York. Their romance became public in November 2022, when photographs emerged showing them together while both were still married.
Robach was married to actor Andrew Shue, while Holmes was married to attorney Marilee Fiebig at the time. The relationship prompted an internal review at ABC, and the pair were eventually taken off air before leaving the network in January 2023 following contentious negotiations.
They remained together through the fallout and later launched a podcast, Amy & T.J., in which they discussed the pressure surrounding their relationship and the impact of losing their television jobs.
Robach and Holmes announced their engagement in October 2025, saying they wanted to share the news themselves after learning a difficult lesson about their relationship becoming public.
Their former spouses subsequently began dating each other, with Shue and Fiebig appearing together publicly.
The Arkansas filing suggests the engaged couple may now be preparing to hold their wedding in Holmes’s home state.
