Google has discontinued the Pixel Tablet, removing the device from its online store and ending sales of the only tablet in its current hardware range.
The tablet’s product page now redirects to the Google Store homepage, with no reference to the Pixel Tablet elsewhere on the site apart from a small number of accessories. Sales ended in late August, although the listing was still visible as out of stock on August 31.
Launched in 2023, the Pixel Tablet was designed to serve both as a conventional Android tablet and as a smart display when placed on its charging dock. Its reception was mixed, and the device did not establish a significant successor line.
Pixel Tablet support will continue
Despite the end of sales, Google has said the Pixel Tablet will continue to receive software updates until 2028. The company has not announced a replacement model.
Reports have suggested that planned upgrades were abandoned because of concerns about profitability. A second-generation model was reportedly expected in 2025, while a third-generation tablet had allegedly been considered for 2027, but neither went ahead.
Stock also appears to have disappeared from major third-party retailers. Remaining Pixel Tablet units are no longer widely available, and Amazon was reported to have no third-party sellers offering the device.
