Heidi Klum surprised her son Henry with a red Ferrari F430 for his 21st birthday after his stepfather, Tom Kaulitz, fulfilled a promise made during a video game bet.
The supermodel shared footage of the moment Henry was led outside and saw the convertible waiting on the driveway. Klum stood beside the car as Kaulitz guided him towards the surprise.
“I can’t believe it is that time. You’ve been waiting for so many years,” Klum told her son in the video.
Henry reacted with disbelief, saying: “Oh my God! Jesus Christ. I don’t even know what to say.”
The Ferrari F430 is valued at upwards of six figures, with the car shown in the video described as costing around $200,000.
Kaulitz explained that he had bought the Ferrari at a car show the previous year and had kept it hidden in the garage while waiting for Henry’s birthday.
The gift stemmed from a bet the pair made when Henry was a teenager while playing Mario Kart. In a follow-up post, Henry recalled the terms of their agreement.
“It’s happening on Christmas, and if I lose Mario Kart, then I can’t play video games for three months, and I have to do a painting of me driving,” he said. “But if I win, then Tom has to give me a Ferrari when I’m 21.”
Klum noted that Kaulitz had kept his word, asking: “Literally, it’s what? Seven years ago when you guys said that?”
She also marked the occasion with a black-and-white photograph of her four children as youngsters, wearing party hats and smiling together. “Henry WOW. Time flies. We love you sooooooo much. Happy 21 Birthday,” she wrote alongside the image.
Further birthday posts showed Henry having his “first legal drink” and celebrating over dinner with close family. Klum also reposted footage of her eldest child, Leni, capturing Henry blowing out the candles on his cake.
Klum is also mother to Johan, 19, and Lou, 16, whom she shares with her former husband, Seal. Leni, 22, is the biological daughter of Flavio Briatore and was adopted by Seal.
The birthday celebrations followed a family trip to St Barts in early August, when Klum and Kaulitz marked their seventh wedding anniversary with Leni and Henry.
