Addison Swaney’s rise as a volleyball player at Kettle Moraine Lutheran has been shaped by a sporting journey that began when she was just one year old.
The Wisconsin sophomore is now a key member of her school’s varsity team, playing as a libero and defensive specialist. She first took up volleyball at the age of 10 after following a sibling into the sport, and has continued to develop ever since.
Swaney’s defensive work was on full display in Kettle Moraine Lutheran’s recent victory over Port Washington, when she recorded 25 digs and two aces. She has also been listed among the Badger Region’s high-performance prospects.
Her progress has earned recognition beyond the court, with scouting reports highlighting her quick reflexes, reliable passing and ability to make important defensive plays under pressure.
For Swaney, however, success is not measured only by statistics. Alongside her achievements, she has embraced several affectionate nicknames that carry personal meaning and reflect the support of those around her.
Now a prominent young athlete at Kettle Moraine Lutheran, Swaney is continuing to build on the sporting foundation laid in early childhood — with volleyball at the centre of her ambitions.
