Emily in Paris season six has wrapped filming, bringing production on the Netflix series’ final season to an end.
Lily Collins, who plays Emily Cooper and serves as a producer, marked her last day on set with an emotional message, describing the farewell as “completely surreal and bittersweet”.
Sharing photographs from the set, Collins wrote: “My last day on set as Emily… I’m speechless. It’s impossible to find the words for what this journey has meant to me.”
She thanked creator Darren Star, along with the cast, writers, directors and crew, for helping bring the character and the world of the programme to life.
“For so many years, Emily has been a part of my life, and through every season, she’s continued to surprise me, inspire me, and challenge me,” Collins said.
Star and Collins were pictured alongside a chair bearing the word “Fin”, as the show’s official account confirmed that filming on the final season had concluded.
Collins added that she felt “so incredibly proud and grateful” to have played Emily and been part of what she described as “something so joyful”. She ended her message: “Au revoir, Emily Cooper…”
When will Emily in Paris season six be released?
The final season of Emily in Paris is due to premiere on Netflix on December 24.
Star has said he wanted the concluding series to be “the biggest Emily in Paris experience yet”, with the story travelling to multiple locations, including Greece.
“That’s part of the fantasy of Europe: you’re always within reach of another extraordinary place, another culture, another adventure,” he said.
The final season will see Emily facing career conflicts and shifting relationships as she reconsiders her future and is forced to choose between her career, her heart and the life she has built in Paris.
