A 29-year-old man has been charged after Pokémon cards were allegedly stolen during an armed smash-and-grab at a toy store in Adelaide.
Police allege a man wearing a balaclava and carrying a hammer entered the Beach Rd store inside the Colonnades shopping centre at Noarlunga at about 8.30pm on Thursday.
He allegedly smashed a glass display cabinet with the hammer, took a quantity of Pokémon cards and fled through the northern car park. No one was physically injured.
Officers searched the area that night but were initially unable to locate the suspect. Detectives later attended an address in Christies Beach, where they arrested the 29-year-old.
He has been charged with breaching a bail agreement, carrying an offensive weapon, property damage, theft and carrying an article of disguise.
The man was refused bail and is expected to appear in Christies Beach Magistrates Court.
