Manchester City’s 115-charge case has reportedly reached the appeal stage after an independent tribunal made decisions on the allegations, with most of the charges said to have been proven.
The reports concerning the Premier League inquiry have not been confirmed by the league, which has declined to comment on what it describes as a private and confidential process.
A Manchester City spokesperson said the proceedings were still continuing, with “significant elements to be completed”, and that the club’s position remained consistent with its statement from February 2023.
“The club has diligently respected due process for eight years on the basis that the Premier League Board and Executive would behave as an independent, impartial and fair-minded regulator, free from partisan influence,” the spokesperson said.
