Miley Cyrus has released “Let’s Get Married”, a new song about her fiancé Maxx Morando, on her latest album, Bass Persuades.
Cyrus and Morando have been together for six years and became engaged last year. The track sets out her desire to marry him, with lyrics describing visions of wearing white and running away together to begin the rest of their lives.
Speaking about their relationship on Apple Music, Cyrus said: “We’ve been together six years, and I’ve never gotten the ick.”
She said she had recently worried about the possibility of losing interest after marriage and asked Morando what would happen if he experienced “the ick”. His response, according to Cyrus, was: “You deal with it and you move on and you don’t be a baby. The ick is for when you’re in fifth grade.”
Cyrus added that Morando had briefly given her the feeling she described, saying: “He did something that icked me for a minute. I was like, ‘Don’t ever do that again. It gave me the ick.’”
Despite the moment, “Let’s Get Married” makes clear that Cyrus remains ready to tie the knot. The song includes the repeated refrain: “Let’s go get married tonight.”
Cyrus is due to perform songs from Bass Persuades at sold-out shows at the Hollywood Bowl in October 2026. She has also teased that a future residency is in the works.
