NASA astronauts Jack Hathaway and Jessica Meir are preparing to return to Earth after completing an expedition of more than seven months aboard the International Space Station.
Meir, the current commander of the orbiting laboratory, and Hathaway discussed their mission in an interview with CBS News senior national correspondent Mark Strassmann as their time in space draws to a close.
The conversation covered recent spacewalks and SpaceX’s Starship, as well as the astronauts’ expectations for returning home after their extended stay aboard the International Space Station.
Hathaway and Meir also reflected on what they are most looking forward to once the expedition ends and they are back on Earth.
