Maria Shriver has received a $150,000 donation from Oh My Mahjong to support the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement and Cleveland Clinic, following a benefit event in Beverly Hills.
Shriver and her daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger attended the private afternoon gathering at The Hideaway on Tuesday, alongside Oh My Mahjong founder Megan Trottier. The event brought guests together for mahjong, conversation and fundraising focused on women’s brain health and dementia research.
Trottier presented Shriver with the cheque during the event. Oh My Mahjong has partnered with Shriver and the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement, donating a percentage of its sales to research and advocacy related to Alzheimer’s disease and women’s brain health.
Trottier founded the company after being inspired by her grandmother’s experience with Alzheimer’s disease, with charitable giving forming a central part of its mission.
Shriver’s other daughter, Christina Schwarzenegger, was also among those attending, alongside producer Suzanne Todd, actress Rachael Harris and Jared Eng of Mahjong Megachurch.
Guests took part in open mahjong play throughout the afternoon while supporting the partnership between Oh My Mahjong, the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement and Cleveland Clinic.
