One person was rescued and several firefighters were injured after a house fire in Seattle’s Matthews Beach neighbourhood early on Thursday, 24 September.
Crews were sent to a property at 12001 Sand Point Way North-east, near the junction with North-east 120th Street, shortly before 2.42am, according to Seattle Fire Department dispatch records.
Firefighters were hurt when part of the home’s exterior structure collapsed during the operation. Details of their injuries were not immediately available.
One resident was brought out of the building and taken to Harborview Medical Center in a stable condition.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
