Former Bachelor star Sam Wood has been charged over alleged domestic violence offences in Noosa, with the fitness entrepreneur and his wife, Snezana Wood, issuing a statement on behalf of their family.
The couple shared an identical message on their Instagram Stories on Monday morning, saying they were co-operating with authorities.
“This is a difficult time for all of us, we are working through this as a family and are thoroughly co-operating with the authorities,” the statement said.
It is understood the family had been staying at The Sebel on Hastings Street when police were called to the property at about 9pm on Saturday following a report of alleged domestic violence.
Queensland Police said a 46-year-old Victorian man had been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm in a domestic violence matter and strangulation in a domestic setting.
Police said officers attended the Hastings Street address after receiving reports of alleged domestic violence, and that the man was charged early on 4 October.
Wood was refused bail and is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday.
