At least six people were injured when gunfire broke out after a large gathering in South Dallas early on Sunday, police said.
The shooting happened at about 3.20am on South Barry Avenue near Ware Street. Investigators believe the driver of a vehicle exchanged fire with someone in the crowd before crashing into a light pole while attempting to leave.
The victims’ ages and the seriousness of their injuries had not been released. It was not immediately clear whether they were taken to hospital or treated at the scene.
Dallas police have not said what led to the shooting and no suspects or arrests have been announced.
