Three people were injured in a shooting near a high-school American football game in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, police said.
Two men and a woman were shot at about 9.50pm on Thursday near George K Cupples Stadium on the city’s South Side, following an altercation whose details have not been disclosed.
Officers were already at the area of South 9th and East Carson streets attempting to break up a fight when gunfire was reported, Pittsburgh Public Safety said.
The three victims were taken to a local hospital and were in a stable condition. Police continued to search for at least one suspect who fled the scene, but no description had been released.
Westinghouse High School and University Prep had been playing at the stadium, although officials said the game had ended before the shooting.
It was not immediately clear whether any students were among those injured. Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Chief Jason Lando said he believed the victims were teenagers.
At least one person was taken to police headquarters for questioning as the investigation continued.
