Brooke Eby, the TikTok creator who documented her life with ALS through candid and often humorous videos, has died aged 37.
The ALS Network announced her death, describing her as an “extraordinary advocate, storyteller, community builder and friend”.
Eby was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, in March 2022, around four years after she first began experiencing symptoms.
Posting online under the name Limpbroozkit, she built a following of hundreds of thousands across TikTok and Instagram by sharing the realities of living with the terminal condition.
Her approach combined frank accounts of the disease with humour. “Levity is my superpower,” she once said, while also using her platform to educate viewers that ALS can affect people of any age.
Eby’s condition deteriorated significantly during the past year. She said in 2025 that her breathing capacity had sharply declined, and later faced increasing difficulty speaking and swallowing.
Earlier this month, she revealed that her speech had worsened to the point that people were struggling to understand her. She nevertheless continued posting and joking with her followers as the disease progressed.
She also founded the non-profit ALStogether, which aimed to help people diagnosed with ALS connect with resources, experts, carers and others living with the disease.
Eby had previously said she hoped her videos would remain as a “visual diary” for people newly diagnosed with ALS.
