Tottenham are ready to revive their interest in Nottingham Forest playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White next summer after coming close to signing the midfielder last year.
Spurs continue to rate the 26-year-old highly and believe his creativity and goals could strengthen their attacking options. Gibbs-White is capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or on either flank.
Tottenham’s interest in Morgan Gibbs-White
Gibbs-White’s ability to create chances and contribute in front of goal is understood to be central to Tottenham’s interest. He scored 18 times in all competitions last season and provided seven assists.
The prospect of joining Tottenham would represent another step forward in the midfielder’s career, although Forest would have to decide whether they are prepared to sanction his departure.
Tottenham have already spent more than £300 million in the summer transfer market. Their league position this season could prove important in determining how attractive they are to further recruits.
It remains uncertain whether Spurs will be able to complete a deal for Gibbs-White next summer, with the midfielder’s future at Nottingham Forest still unresolved.
