The table at Donald Trump’s state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping brought together guests with a combined estimated net worth of about $1.127 trillion, a figure broadly comparable to Poland’s projected gross domestic product for 2026.
Among those seated with the US president on Thursday night were Tesla chief executive Elon Musk, Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang and his wife, Lori, AMD chief executive Lisa Su and her husband, Daniel Lin, along with Apple executive chairman Tim Cook.
Musk’s net worth was put at $918 billion, while Huang’s was listed as $195 billion. Cook was valued at $3.1 billion and Su at $3.5 billion.
Trump’s wealth was given as $7 billion, while Xi was reported to have a net worth of $1 billion. Combined, the figures come to approximately $1.127 trillion, just short of $1.13 trillion.
Poland’s projected GDP for the whole of 2026 is estimated at $1.13 trillion, according to International Monetary Fund statistics.
The guests were served a pescatarian menu, beginning with yellow squash velouté and followed by sesame-crusted sea bass. Dessert was a vanilla crémeux.
The dinner was provided by the White House, with no guest required to pay for the meal.
