Donald Trump played his personal playlist to reporters aboard Air Force One during a flight over the Atlantic, offering an eclectic mix of music ranging from country and classic rock to opera and Swedish pop.
Two officials entered the press cabin to invite journalists to hear what the US president was listening to while he worked. The selection included Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”, The Undertaker’s WWE entrance music, The Who’s “Baba O’Riley”, Luciano Pavarotti and ABBA’s “Fernando”.
The playlist moved between country heartbreak, professional wrestling, rock, opera and pop before the aircraft landed.
Trump later visited the press cabin himself to see how the music had been received and spoke with reporters.
The president’s use of music has previously drawn objections from artists, including ABBA, who have told him to stop playing their songs.
His Air Force One playlist nevertheless showed no preference for a single genre, spanning performers and styles from Dolly Parton to Pavarotti.
