Two men were injured in a drive-by shooting outside a convenience store in north Houston late on Friday night, police said.
The men were among a group gathered outside a shop in the 13,300 block of Northborough Drive at about 10.20pm on October 2 when a white four-door saloon travelled along Rushcreek Drive and people inside opened fire.
One man was shot in the ankle and the other in the leg. Houston police officers gave first aid at the scene, including applying tourniquets, before both victims were taken to hospital in a stable condition. Their ages were believed to be 31 and 34.
Police said at least four people were inside the vehicle, which was described by a witness. Investigators were also examining surveillance footage from the convenience store.
The shooting is believed to have been targeted and police said there was no continuing threat to the public. The motive remains unclear.
