Two people have died following a light aircraft crash in Wales.
Shortly after midday today, North Wales Police received reports that a light aircraft flying from an airfield in England had not arrived at Caernarfon airport as scheduled.
Air and ground searches were carried out and the wreckage was found in a remote location near to Trawsfynydd, Snowdonia.
The two people on board died at the scene.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) have been made aware of the incident and have deployed a team of investigators.
Chief Superintendent Owain Llewellyn said: ‘Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those involved in this tragic incident.
